Default HardDrive: Reading & Writing Slower

Hi

I bought a Maxtor 60Gig HardDrive.

My PC is setup with a tray so that I can easily change the HardDrives
(after shutting down).

I did a BenchMarck test using the PCPitStop.com

It says that the newer HardDrive (60Gig) which is Reading & Writing
Slower by 2 times than the 40Gig which is 6 months old!

Can U help me - also the newer one doesn't defrag a particular Windows
file!

All hardrive has 3 partitions using Fat32.

Pls email me to:
xyyzNo Spam@No Spam softhome.net

Thanks
