Default Server board SE7500CW2 BIOS

Hi everyone,

We currently have a problem with a server running on a mother board
SE7500CW2. This board runs dual P2.6 Xeon processors with 1G of ECC
RAM.

Previously we successfully ran an application on this server that
would extract dates from an ingres database in DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss
format.

We moved the server location and due to MS certificate services
re-installed W2K server. After this rebuild the server now returns
dates in two different formats.

We run an ingres 2.6 database on an AIX server.

The ingres database is accessed via ODBC calls from the W2K server
machine.

The problem we have just encountered is that our binary dll's return a
different date format to our ASP script code.

binary dll date format returns DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss
ASP script date format returns MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm:ss

I have posted this message on the Ingres newsgroup and so far have
turned up a blank after trying their many suggestions. I'm still
following up in other areas.

Does anyone here know (or has heard of) if the hardware and how W2K
server was installed on said hardware could impact how the date is
being displayed differently from essentially the same database query.

The SE7500CW2 BIOS has a setting for the type of Operating System you
are running, currently it's set to Windows 2000 / .NET

I have not updated the BIOS with the latest patch/update as there
seems to be a significant amount of risk involved.

I guess my question is has anyone heard of hardware impacting how the
operating system manipulates dates in an inconsistient manner and any
potential suggestions for getting around my problem.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
