Default Presario 4770 F10 set up problem

I've DL the SP2824.EXE (I had to use a Mac w OS 9 to access the internet)

I've tired using the file on a flopy with the 4770 during boot up -- no joy.

I've tried copying the file to a flopy then executing on a pc in the DOS
mode -- no joy.

I've also tried to copy the file to the C:\ drive on a pc but I get a file
read error.

any help would be appreciated

Regards

Copy the SP2824.EXE to the hard drive of a working PC. With a blank (or
formatted) floppy in drive A, execute the SP2824.EXE file. It should build
the floppy that you can boot off of on the 4770.

Thanks

Tried that but the transfer prossess seems to be corrupting the end product.
Note I'm DL with a Mac OS9 computer transferring the file to a floppy then
attempting transfer to the other PC. at that point I get one or more
veriations on file transfer error codes.

Regards
