Default New Audiophile 24/96 driver = Win2000 volume lowering itself???

Running Win2000 with M-Audio 24/96, after newest driver was installed,
windows volume wav volume is lowering itself almost to zero on its
own.....anyone??? I'll be emailing M-Audio; wanted to get the word
out.
