Canon ip4200 low ink level warning
I'm pretty pleased with my Canon ip4200, apart from the price of
consumables. I just got my first "ink is running low" message, for the cyan cartridge, and I have purchased a replacement. I want to get all the usable ink out of the cartridge, if that won't do ant harm to the print head. My question is, will I get another "ink has now run out" message coupled with a refusal to print, or should I now replace that cartridge? |

Canon ip4200 low ink level warning
After you get a low ink warning you can still print until you get an out
of ink message. Then you can still print maybe one or two photos to be safe. You do not want to risk your print head and for God sake do not use any generic ink that will ruin your printer, invalidate your warranty, produce results that are not as good and will fade faster. wrote: I'm pretty pleased with my Canon ip4200, apart from the price of consumables. For what its worth, my MP500 (a close cousin of the IP4200 I've read) does indeed give you a second warning. In fact, it flat out stops printing and says the cart is empty. |

I received a second warning after the "ink is running low" message that stated that the ink had run out. |
