limitation of SODIMMs (fewer pins)?
I was tearing down a HP all-in-one ****box, and noticed that it used
SO-DIMMs, like a notebook. Now, these have 204 pins, versus 240 for desktop DIMMs. What is lost? Smaller maximum address space or data bandwidth? |

Although I wouldn't put it past HP to cut costs, the only benefit appears to be one of (derived over larger, more common RAM) size constraints. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SO-DIMM |
