Default Old speakers with new Card

Hi there,

I am looking at replacing my soundcard in leiu of a complete upgrade
next year of my computer hardware and currently I am running an asus
a7n8x-x. I also have a Soundblaster Live! 5.1 sound card.

That sound card has become a bit long in the tooth and is end of life.
My question is, can I plug my cambridge 5.1 speakers (which were
bought with the live 5.1) into the xfi fatal1ty extreme professional.
I understand this mixes 5.1 and 7.1 but having never seen 7.1 speakers
I wasn't sure if they had different jacks ?

No, you can configure the type of speakers you have and the Creative
Control Panel will show you what connectors do what for each
configuration.

I'm not prejudiced. I hate everyone equally.

Thanks very much.
