bit scared....
Hi all,
I have just brought pretty much a new system which includes: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. Antec Truepower 480w PSU 1gb Coursair Value Select Ram 9600XT Radeon I wired it all up last night, went to switch it on and the PSU blew with a cloud of smoke, fearing the worst i used an old Qtec Psu i had laying around to test everything worked.... However, when i switch my machine on, it freezes at the Bios boot screen, around the time of the RAM check and recognisind the hard drives. It varies from time to time. This leads me to think that all is not lost, as the motherboard powers on and starts it process, the ram seems ok as i tried with some other Ram with still the same results. Does anyone know of a problem that could cause this, or do you think that some is fried in my system? Thanks Rex (a concerned user... :-s ) |

Have you tried different RAM Chips , may be possible that one of them was
affected when the PSU blew -- Kind Regards www.networkingbasics.co.uk www.ckconsultants.co.uk "Rex Mundi" wrote in message ...
