Default SATA optical drive

I have an Intel 915PBL motherboard and I want to buy a SATA optical
drive (the only one available is a Plextor). Has anyone used the
Plextor with this MB? It isn't listed on the tested MB's at the
Plextor site.

There has to be someone who owns a Plextor SATA DVD drive----please
respond if you do---Thank you
