Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DefaultUserName"="test a" "AutoAdminLogon"="1" "DefaultPassword"="" Put that in auto.reg and double click on it. The username is case sensitive and the above works fine for a null password. The top line is vital. That logs on auto and obviously only works for the one user. |

You can easily disable the welcome screen in this case. Link: http://tastycomputers.com/support/faq/noxplogon.htm Hope this helps. -- -Russell http://tastycomputers.com |

Also, TweakUI can do it under Logon Autologon. Even if you don't use a password, at least a blank has to be set before it works. TweakUI is available on this page: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx Larc §§§ - Change planet to earth to reply by email - §§§ |
