Default Keep hard drives on the same channel?

I've got 6 SATA connectors on my 9200 mobo, is there any performance
hit if I had my 2 hard drives at SATA0 and, say SATA3, instead of at 0
& 1?

No, none. The good thing about SATA is that you don't have to worry about
master/slave settings and performance hits due to unoptimized drive
positioning on the controller.

There might be a significant difference if the motherboard has multiple
SATA controllers and some of those 6 connectors are for the two
different controllers.
