Temprature
Hi,i have just purchased and installed a Sempron 2600+
after years of using Intel cpu's.it is installed using the heatsink and fan that came in the box and is running at about 60 degrees c,is this normal for amd processors or should i invest in a better quality hs/fan? |

I'm pretty sure i have the cpu cooler on the right way wes,i am just

Hi, I have sempron 2800+ and the temperature is about 60 degrees c. It's box sempron with amd cooler. Maybe amd coolers aren't so good ??? lm |

Unlike that old 486 intel.. This new sempron needs something called a Heatsink and it also needs something called a Fan |

If the boxed cooler is all aluminum, then most definately. Something is wrong. Either you have NO airflow through your case or the heatsink in not mounted right. |
