Default Studio 1555 - What were they thinking?

Got a Dell Studio 1555 to do a bit of preventive work. This was a Best Buy special from about 4 years ago, with Vista Ugh. The on-off switch is on the right side and lights up when power is on. So far, so good. But where is the hard drive activity LED? I did not see one. What were the Dell genius engineers thinking when they left it out? ... Ben Myers

Not sure about the Studio 1550, but on the XPS 17 L702x the hard drive light is on the extreme left hand corner behind the screen where you can not see it.

Things went downhill when they took the lights off
mainframes.
