I tried radata and the disc cannot be read. i tried TDK but i have to
burn it at slow setting (6x or under). anyone has any idea which blank
medias work well with this drive? does memorex or verbatim work with
this drive? or should I just upgrade it to nec?

6X is a pretty high speed for DVD burning (remember, that's five
gigabytes in 10 minutes). In fact, I won't burn a DVD that fast, even
when I can. The faster media is burned, the lower the quality of the
burn. For CDs, I usually use 16x to 24x, and for DVDs, 2x to 4x. Yes,
you can go faster, but I want the media that I burn to be solidly
readable on as many readers as possible.

hi, Does anyone know where can I get an EVD player. EVDs are 5 times the resolution of DVD and it has much superior audio quality. I am looking for a EVD writer for movie recording. Looking for EVD writer/burner. myth General Hardware 1 June 21st 04 01:38 AM
