Text quality ATI Radeon 9000 video card - need some help, pcumming

Why is the screen font looking so lousy here, could I be missing some
fonts, should I look for something or change a setting? Have a new ATI
Radeon 9000 video card with 64MB of memory.

Tried upping the refresh rate to 70, tried selecting smoothing fonts
from desktop among other things. Still no better.
Monitor has .25 dot pitch and is a Sony Trinitron 19 inch.

The text at bottom of screen looks pretty bad. Looked better with my
old 3dfx card. Perhaps there is a setting somewhere. Running Win2k at
800x600.

Screenshot of text is at:

You must Do a "Save Picture AS" and then change percentqge in your
graphics progam to 100% to see what MY screen text really looks like.

You can then compare by going to google and looking at the bottom of
YOUR OWN screen.
Try this link:

The bottom part of MY screen with poor quality text begins with this
phrase:

"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some
entries very similar to the 8 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results
included."

Thanks, Peter

Thanks very much. Not the monitor as I had this monitor with other
cards without a problem. I wrote ATI but also found others complaining
of smeared or blurred text. I need to find if there is an antialias
option for the ATI card.

Will also await more replies

Sincerely
Peter

Looks clear (other than the jpg compression) so you might have a monitor
problem.
