Radeon 9800 Pro, Xp 2400,266mhz,1 gig pc2100 ram, this a good setup ? Will the 9800 pro use all its power, or should i just stick to the 9600 Pro worth the upgrade to the 9800 Pro ? Thanks. |

9600 Pro 9800 Pro is a good upgrade, however, i'd save the money to get a
new setup in 3-4 months. Then you can buy a new Athlon 64 setup, with new RAM and that shiney new 9800 Pro for dirt cheap. "We Live for the One we Die for the One" Mr wrote in message ... Ill get a 9800 Pro when it gos lower and with my current system 2100 is the max my board can take and iam not upgrading so soon, ill wait till 64bit computeing is 100% uptake and 32bit is gone like 16bit is not toooo long. And how low must the price of the 9800 Pro go for you, because personaly I think it isn't going much lower anymore... |

Hmmm its like 360 bucks Australian here and the New Nvidia and ATI cards have not yet hit Australia and when they do i might pick one up at 250 300 dollars, depends how much they discount them when no one is buying them Or maybe everyone will be buying who can say depends of the price of the new cards and if they have been saving their pennies. Thanks. On 24 May 2004 03:18:25 -0700, (Dark Avenger) wrote: We Live for the One we Die for the One Mr wrote in message . .. But since most games aren't CPU bound at this point you don't need the Athlon
64, you need the better vid-card. Then you can buy a new Athlon 64 setup, with new RAM and that shiney new 9800 Pro for dirt cheap. -Bill (remove "botizer" to reply via email) |
