Default IS7-V2 and Abit EQ

On the IS7-V2 I put together for a friend the BIOS heat ranges and the EQ
application didn't work as advertised at...

http://tinyurl.com/cnjvg

I had to set and overly high range in BIOS for shutdown (160 FH) and
disable the alarm - a lot of other weirdness. OS: W98SE.

The CPU is properly installed a humble - 2.26 Celeron D, 533 FSB, no
overclock. Fans all check out.

Anyone else seen similar problems?

I plan to remove EQ.
