Default OS not found


(win98) During boot up i Received a message OS Not found (Compaq
5002us) I had a diagnostic run , and was told My restore disk will not
work (comes up in spanish)..I was also told that compaq does not ship a
entire restore disk with this comp..That i will need a 2 disk set ,
Because i have a corrupt file..The problem cant be hard drive
related,installed a new 1 after first error message..i get the same
error Bios also detects harddrive..Any help or ideas would be
