Hi to all, what is the software for video chat that gives the best image
quality nowadays? A friend of mine told me that's skype...

I personally like SightSpeed. It's free (does require you to register
though) for person-to-person conferences. If you want to go beyond
one-to-one conferences, they charge a $50 fee per year for
multi-conferencing. Note that the multi-conferencing is a maximum of four
webcams. It works very well. It's smooth and the audio and video sync
perfectly.
