Good for Komplett I say. One up for the etailers who don't pander to
politically correct arseholes.

My sentiments exactly,i think it is time people stop behaving like
vultures and stop latching on to other peoples honest mistakes just to
get a piece of technology cheap. It's disgraceful behaviour.
This people never even seem to think of what happens to the person
that made the error as a direct result of their exploiting the
mistake.Amazing.

I wouldnt have known the correct price, or in fact it was greatly
underpriced.

I think we all know this is not the instance Palco is talking about.

In case you missed his point accidentally instead of deliberately he was
referring to the people who are damn well aware that mistakenly priced items
are so grossly erroneous that not even by the widest stretch of the
imagination can they be thought of as special offers - yet still harp on
about how unjustified the company is in cancelling orders - not that they
would normally have ordered these items anyway were that on sale at their
normal price, or even at a decently discounted genuine special offer price.

If you understand the current market you'd know a 9800 pro for £130 is
either a wrong price or off the back of a lorry but some others might not
know and have just read a few good reviews.

Quote from Komplett at the beginning of September:
"Weekend offer
Did you catch our £9 (no, really) weekend offer on the Gainward GeForce4
MX440 SE (64mb DDR, TV-out, Pro450.)? Keep your eyes open - you
never know when these offers will appear. If you can't believe your eyes,
it's
probably Komplett."

Yep, these are normally £30+. That's more % saving than the 9800 at £130 ;-)

Then again a GF4 MX440 might just be worth it for £9, but I'm not sure.

Yep, nothing wrong with that. In those cases they knew what they were
doing and were just trying it on. The only thing I think wrong in the
story is that Komplett assumed that all purchasers were trying it on
and there were absoutly no genuine orders from people thinking it was
an offer or otherwise. Although I'm inclined to think there may not
even be any of this category orderign the card.

On the Komplett webisite:

Weekend offer
Did you catch our £9 (no, really) weekend offer on the Gainward
GeForce4 MX440 SE (64mb DDR, TV-out, Pro450.)? Keep your eyes open -
you never know when these offers will appear. If you can't believe you

So how can you advertise special weekend offer like that on some
products and telling on the other hand we are bad people for ordering
another cheap video card!!

That doesn't make any sense!!

Well, after a faulty website since a while and now that, it's bye bye
Komplett for me.

Niel,
Komplett can't have it both ways. They're telling punters to look out for
unbelievable deals and then saying "actually we didn't mean it and you're
some kind of low-life to try to buy one" when you find them. I may use them
again because I didn't get burned on this one and get their offensive
response, but their attitude stinks. There may well be unscruplous people
who thought it was a pricing error, but given Komplett's previous attitude
of "watch for unbelieveable bargains" I would be surprised if they were in
the majority.
