Default Branded memory from ebuyer

If I buy Crucial branded memory from ebuyer, will it be as good as
Crucial branded memory from Crucial?

It ought to be identical, but the level of service might well be
different.

IIRC Crucial actually deliver the goods when you order through one of
their partners, so it is indeed identical.

I bought some crucial memory from Ebuyer abou 4 months ago for my laptop, it
has been an excellent purchase and cheaper than it would have been direct
from crucial. Go fo it.

IMO it's well worth paying a few quid extra for the service you get from
Crucial. Ebuyer and Crucial are opposite ends of the spectrum in the way
they treat their customers.

Couldn't agree more!

I ordered 2Gb of ECC RAM for a server a few months back - ordered
non-registered instead of registered *Doh!*. No problem, just called
Crucial and informed them of my mistake, they just swapped it for the
correct RAM no questions aksed.

ABSOLUTELY!

I place around 2-4 orders a week with them (I manage the IT spend for a
company with 20+ sites).

eBuyer have always been cra...er...not so hot when things go wrong, but
up until recently I had only needed to make 2 returns in all that time.

NOW, however, on separate orders during the last month or so they have:

Shipped the wrong KVM switches TWICE (and not collected the wrong ones)

Sent me a 40GB hard disk instead of a 300GB one

Sent me an MP3 player with the player not in the box (just cables, CD
and manuals)

Failed to include 2 x DVD writers even though they were on the
'checked/packing list'.

Finally managed to ship a laser printer toner cartridge I ordered in
mid-July even though the item has been 'in stock' the whole time.

Service really has gone downhill of late.
