TV tuner would lead to an ATI all in wonder (I've owned one and loved
it, for what it was). I am 100% nvidia now though (don't need the extra
stuff). In my experience, the 6800 is good for the money if you are using
agp (you can maybe open up the extra pipelines and vertex shader). I don't
have any experience with pci-e, but from what I've read any of the 7x series
would be good and give you the option of SLI if you want to spend the $
later on. To be as unbiased as I can, from what I've read the ati x1k
series with crossfire (or whatever their version of SLI is) sounds good as
well, but I don't think they have an all-in-wonder version. Forgive me if
I'm wrong, this is just to the best of my knowledge.

(-: FireFox :-)

A practical suggestion ... get yourself a separate TV tuner card e.g.
ATI-TV. It'll be good for a long long time ... and it's portable ... mine's
currently on the other side of town in my daughters PC :-)

help! is there any reason not to buy the nvidia 6800 ultra as it seems
not talked about at all here, but is the only 256mb offered on the
dell laptop I want to buy?
