Can't download from MS Update Site to XP Machine
Just wondering if anyone is having trouble downloading updates from
the MS Update site for XP machines or is it just us. We have 98SE machines, 2000 machines and this XP laptop. We can still download updates with the 98SE machines and the 2000 machines but not the XP machine. The XP machine will also download files from any other place except the MS Update site so this means that it will download but not from MS. We also turned off the firewall and that was not the problem either. We get a list of updates that need to be downloaded, we select the ones to download, hit download, accept user agreement and then nothing. It just sits there waiting to start but never does. We have tried it with 1 to any combination of selected updates showing to be needed on the XP machine. It is doing it with all downloads both Criticals and Suggesteds. Is it the XP machine or MS?
