CPU Quiet Fan on AliveNF4G
I'm thinking of building a system with this MB using the retail fan.
In the user manual the CPU fan header has 4 pins GND, +12v, CPU_FAN_SPEED and FAN_SPEED_CONTROL. My memory of the retail fans (supplied with CPU by AMD) is that they are 3 pin. Am I unable to use the bios enabled CPU Quiet Fan with this MB & retail fan ? Thanks Eric -- Remove the dross to contact me directly |

I got a response from ASROCK about this. They say you cannot control the speed the AMD supplied fan with this MB. It needs to be a fan with a 4 pin connector.
