Nero 6 burning slow..HELP
Using nero 6 latest, my 4x burning takes 30 minutes, not 15
Simulation takes 15 minutes, but actual write to disk takes 30. I have two different burners, Sony DRU510 and the LG 4160 Operating system xp pro, svcpak2, 1 gig memory 3.2e intel. The secondary ide is set to dma mode 2. Tried three different movies from disk, made no difference in burning time. Tried two different media, ridata and platinum. This is a asus p4c800 intel 875 chipset. This my new main machine, my bu machine has two similar drives and does not do this with either media. This has me confused. Any help would be appreciated. |

The problem with having us guess is that we are unluckly all to come up with the same results - and therefore to have replies that can be correlated. 1. Guessing, you're writing some sort of DVD, not a CD. 2. Guessing, both machines are running some version of Windows. 3. Can't guess: are the OSs the same (including SP)? 4. Can't guess: if you try writing at 2x, do you write at 2x? 5. Can't guess: what *is* different between the two machines? Mike -- http://www.mrichter.com/ |

That's Curtis Croulet's response to this: Mike Richter (Friggin ****): "try providing some usable information - OS, what kind of write you're doing, what error messages you get."
