Default trying to boot D865PERL mobo

All I have just now is D865 mobo, P4, memory, video card & floppy.
When I turn it on, I expected to see BIOS version, processor, clock
speed,etc...
All I got was a message about no boot device. Mobo does beep after
about 10 secs and floppy does lite up. Why don't I see BIOS info?

Go into the BIOS and see if you have a "fast Boot" choice.
Turn it off, then you should see all the info.
