Default Compaq Presario 2100 (2104EA) and TV OUT

Hi All,
I'm using a Compaq Presario 2100 serie, model 2104EA notebook with the
pre-installed Windows XP Home. The notebook ships with a ATI IGP 340M
video card.
I'm trying to use the integrated TV-out port with my TV but I cannot get
anywhere.

Here follows the sequence of actions. Please note that I'll translate
the option/forms name in English from Italian, so them may be inaccurate
on some names.

1) Ati Icon
2) Settings
3) Video Settings
4) Settings
5) Advanced (after selecting the 1st monitor, 2nd is grayed)
6) Visualization (first tab on upper left)

Now the TV screen icon on the form is marked as "Not Connected".
The notebook is connected to the TV via a S-VIDEO = RCA composite
cable.

I've tried restarting the notebook with both the TV on and the cable
connected, but I didn't get anything: I still cannot select the TV
icon and enable it.

Any advice?

Thanks for your time and cooperation
