Armada 7800 PII 233 w/ Docking station not staring up. Help needed ASAP

I have a Compaq Armada 7800 w/ docking station I have had for a number of
years. I decided to sell it recently and needed to take it off docking
station. It has been running fine for a long time connected to the docking
station and connected to network and internet thru the RJ45 NIC port on the
back of docking station. The reason I do this is because the LCD goes
completely out intermittantly and so I just use it with docking station and
external monitor

The problem is now it will not restart at all. Either in docking station or
connected with power cored on it's own. The only 'symptom' I can see is that
the 3 small light just above the keyboard on the notebook on topright side
(small A ,underlined down arrow & a 1) all blink occasionally green all at
same time. In addition, at almost same time the 'power on' light blinks red
on the bevel on front left

I have no idea what I have hammered but all thoughts or ideas are
appreciated as there is a bit of urgency to get this machine back up and get
the data off it at least.
