Default new barton xp2500+

hi guys
bought a new barton XP2500+ 2day

multipliers cannot be changed

my steppings are
AXDA2500DKV4D
41F5075240328
AQXFA0340MPM

has anyone tried similar??
how would this affect my overclocking??
wont put this chip in for the next few days but just wondering how far it

Well If you consider it runs at 166 and you can change the fsb to 200 then
the locking isnt an issue as you will reach max at 11x200

http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showth...hreadid=244237 would
suggest you are locked.
There are no AQXFA's at http://www.cpudatabase.com/CPUdb/ so it is a bit
early to tell. You will have to be a ground breaker on this one.

You don't need a multiplier higher than 11 (the default for the 2500+) to
overclock it. Just raise the FSB, assuming you have a decent MB and ram.

But you might need multi's lower than 11, if your FSB goes sky high.
My old NF7S2/2500+ went to 246 FSB stable - so the multi had to drop to 9.5
