Hypervolume throughput specifications
Hi all,
I'm looking for some specifications that I still wasn't able to find. I know this will change depending on the type of physical disks and their specifications, but is there some way to estimate the I/O throughput an hypervolume can give ? Suppose we say for a 72gb 10k RPM disk we can expect ~100 I/O per second. If we create 9 8gb hypervolumes. Can we estimate the I/O throughput for each of those hypers ? Or for instance, can you estimate the I/O throughput for the whole metavolume ? Suppose in this case it's a 64gb metavolume composed of 8gb hypers. I'd really appreciate your help very much. BTW, this will be all configured in Raid 0+1. Tks Diego |
