Default Need Some Education

I have VERY little experience with webcams so pardon if my stupidity shows:

I just installed a weather station and it automatically uploads data to my
website. I want to add a "weathercam" to include a picture of the area on
the web page (I only want to refresh about every 5 min). I bought a camera
(http://www.bluecherry.net/store/prod...cat=118&page=1)
and a capture card
(http://www.bluecherry.net/store/prod...&cat=20&page=1)
and I have them functioning. With the capture card they include some
software to preview the images. Among the programs they include are
"Sample1NTSC.exe" and "Sample1PAL.exe". The image I see using the PAL
program looks great. The one I see from the NTSC sample looks washed-out?

Where/how can I control the type of image that my applications use? One
application I use is ImageSalsa which shows "Microsoft WDM Capture Image
(Win32)" as the only choice and that appears to det the NTSC Image. Is there
a way I can get to the "Microsoft WDM Image" to change the type of image it
presents?
