Default Installation Trouble - txtsetup.oem - not found

maxtor diamond plus drive w/ ata 133 PCI card

Maybe this will save someone some time... I searched for this entry
and couldn't find it... I have a Dell 8100, my daughters' figured out
how to crash the hard drive that came with it last night. Went to
Staples this morning bought a Maxtor 200GB drive that comes with a
bundled ATA 133 PCI card. Great! Put the the card and disk in... boot
MAXTOR software, format, partition no problem... Boot XP off a CD....
setup never would find the drive even though the BIOS recognized it...
Tried using the F6 option when booting XP so it prompts for a
SCSI/RAID/ETC controller software... When it prompted me for the
driver disk I dutifully inserted the ATA 133 setup diskette I made off
the MAXTOR CD. It gave me an error: missing txtsetup.oem.... Called
MAXTOR tech support, a useless waste of time - they had no clue...
browsed the Maxtor website. Found new driver code, made new diskette,
it worked like a champ. Here is the link to the updated drivers:
https://maxtor.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...% 2A%2A&p_li=
Follow the ATADRVR.EXE link in te middle of the page under software
installation. This makes a good floppy that works under XP SP1 (my
experience)...
