are there counterfeit Antec cases?
I came across a PC case: the front looks like an old Solution SLK3800B model that I had, but it has a windowed side like the Plusview II. Except this side is screwed on, instead of quick-release latches. Also,it is light and tinny, and parts poorly aligned, unlike any other Antec case I had. It has no niceties like rubber disk mounts. And it does not have "Antec design" embossed on it. Maybe Antec makes cheap cases for third-world countries? But it smells a bit fishy to me. |

Without the name it's not counterfeit--you're probably looking at something made to look like it. |

I've a Rosewill brand case Newegg sells which strongly resembles that, a sturdy but heavy Antec 300 that's just not quite up to the only all- aluminum Antec Lanboy, I know of, revived and now strongly resembling a startling quieter 45watt version of an AMD I setup. In fact if that Antec Lanboy were weighed in on the quietness scale, I could literally lift it with one finger. |
