Default Soundblaster Live 5.1 to external amp

Hi,
I just got a Soundblaster Live! 5.1 and want to use the digital out to
the digital input on my Surround Sound amp. I have tries a mono mini
cable to the digital coax in on the amp and I get nothing. When I use
a stereo out mini to one RCA jack I only get either the front R and L
or the rear R and L.

I also tried an adapter to take both RCAs into one and I get no
signal. What cable do I really need to get the digital out from the
SB Live to the input on my receiver?

Thanks!

Paz

You can't get 5.1 channel output through the digital out with a normal
receiver. You can only get stereo with it.

You can for pre-encoded material like DVDs if you set the drivers to
passthrough and set yer DVD player software to use SPDIF passthrough as
well.
