Orientate DVD drive standing up
I purchased a DVD burner (internal, but put into a housing). It has a
tray with a depression, into which the disc is placed. It is not a snap-on spindle, such as what you find on many laptops. The manual says the drive should be oriented either completely horizontally or vertically, not some other angle. Vertical is good, since the housing is meant to stand up vertically. However, since it is not a snap-on spindle, I wonder if the advisability of vertical orientation is mistake. Does something grab the disc so that it can be used while vertically oriented? What about the disc falling out of the depression in the tray when the tray is being pushed in or ejected? |
