I think knowing that a company has descended to "internet marketing" is definitely on topic for this group, and it's valuable information - both because it indicates that the company in question is succumbing to a kind of desperate cluelessness which doesn't bode well for their future prospects, and because it warns people to not give them a "real" email address. In this case, it's also good to hear that Aria were apparently unaware of this particular marketing campaign, but I think that spamming related to "reputable" companies is always worth of discussion here.
