Anyone have any leads on the origin of the word "motherboard" and who coined
it?

Hi, it's quite plain to see where , 'mother' came from.

All other components,circuit boards and connectionsin a computer are
attached to the MAIN, or (mother), electronic circuit board. And of
course the 'board' comes from circuit board, Who coined it? No clue,
sorry!
