Default RAM disks?

What happened to the software Ram disk??? are they still available???

Yes they are still around, but they do not serve the same purpose as solid
state disks. There was a flame war^w^w discussion on the topic of SSDs,
RAM disks and disk cache a few weeks ago on this newsgroup and you might
want to look it up.
