UMAX Astra 1200S missing umaxusdf.dll on XP SP2?
I'm trying to get my 1200S installed on XP.
I'm installing from the UMAX VistaScan X CD selecting VistaScan 3.55. I've also tried the XP "work-around" variation that is in a .doc in an XP folder in the 3.55 folder on the CD. In every case I eventually arrive at a point where the installer pauses on a "can't find UMAXUSDF.DLL..." Evidentially it's not on the XP CD and I can't find it on the UMAX CD. Does anyone know what it is? Where I can get one? Ironically (predictably?), according to their Support Site support for the 1200S was dropped by UMAX a/o 1/1/2008. The VistaScan [sort of] works - I guess - I haven't been able to try everything yet I just wouldn't know what doesn't/wouldn't work because the umaxusdf.dll file isn't there. Any ideas? Thx. Geo.
