Clicking and the Extigy Sound Card

I know lots of you have had probs with clicking and the Extigy sound
card but has anyone actually found a fix for it yet. I am running at
500mhz with 512mb of memory and am running the extigy off a D-Link usb
2 card. I have no other usb connections from the card and i was
getting a clicking sound like static all the time. By going into the
bios and making sure that my pci cards were running at the proper
speed has improved things but i still get the occasional clicking
sound and it is very frustrating.
It works fine on my Toshiba Tecra laptop and if you are installing on
XP i advise you install the drivers for the card before service
packing your system.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
