Creative woes
I've been happily using a SB Live value for a couple of years now, except
maybe for a couple of midi soundfont issues, but no-the-less I had no good excuse to upgrade to an Audigy. Then the other week, I tried to play some music and the sound was only coming from the right channel* ( i think). I checked the cables, etc, there was no problem so it must have been the soundcard.I went out and got an Audigy2 and now I have stereo again, but my system is incredably unstable, at random intervals resulting in a Stop 0x00000008e error (Driver conflict, or something!) I've since uninstalled and put the Live back in and the sound is only coming from the LEFT* channel this time (maybe I was mistaken from before, I can't be sure) Anyone have any suggestions? |

As for the new card make sure you fully remove the old card's software and drivers before installing it.Use Safemode to check the Device Mangler as per, http://www.geocities.com/sheppola/drivers.html HTH -- Free Windows/PC help, http://www.geocities.com/sheppola/trouble.html Free songs download, http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/17/sheppard.html |

Thanks, but I've tried all that. I think I've got a problem of
incompatibility with my system, and although Creative could probably solve it, why should they (they have my money now), and it's not like I can easily take it back, as there's nothing particular wrong with it. There a conspiracy at work here, if you ask me. Martin "Shepİ" wrote in message ... On Sun, 7 Sep 2003 09:58:10 +0100, In this world we created "Martin Brindle" wrote : What O/S? I had this problem and it turned out to be a faulty cable from my
