Default ATI 9800 Pro and NVidia MX 440 behave nicely?

Hi Gang,

I've been running my ATI 9800 Pro very nicely in dual monitor mode. I
was lucky enough to have found a third monitor, so I'm trying to get 3
monitors working. I'm trying to install a PCI based MX 440 (8x) 64Mb
card, for the third monitor. This card worked great with my ATI All
in Wonder 8500 card (when I was doing 2 montiors in an older machine).
I plug the card in, Windows XP recognizes it fine, says installing
hardware - all goes well. BUT- when I try to bring up the display
control panel, I get this message:

The currently selected graphics display driver can not be used. It
was written for a previous version of windows and is no longer
compatible with this version of windows. The system has been started
using the default VGA driver.

I have twice downloaded the XP display drivers from NVidia. Anyone
ever seen this before? Any help, greatly appreciated!

Default

ATI and Nvidia drivers installed together on the same system frequently lead
to conflicts.
