Default Advice for new computer

ok, I'm looking to buy a new computer. I'm most likely gonna buy it
from http://www.centrecom.com.au. I live in Australia so those are
Australian dollars.

Now the main use of the computer will be for school. The most
demanding programs will be Adobe Premiere and 3d studio max. I will
also want to do furhter video editing of my own.

Here is what I have chosen through centrecom's custom build section:

I'm pretty happy with what I've chosen except I don't know a lot about
motherboards and kinda just picked out what I thought would be a good
one based on the price. I was told this motherboard is a bit overkill
so I'd be happy if someone would go to the centrecom website and
recomend a motherboard that would suit the specs I chose.

Also is there anything bad about internal modems? I use an external
one now.

Great pick. I think, though, that a slight performance boost would be
made if you got an E series P4 (prescott). Other than that, that system
should do great for anything you want it to do. But what about the
software? And internal modems are just fine.

I think you should rethink getting an OEM dvd copier, i did that
myself to save some money, and have found it hellish to be able to get
a copy of dvd burning software from anywhere that works.
