In article , display.systems
writes
This happened on 2 of my recent orders, HDD box missing containing HDD,
CPU & Memory each time.

And yet again today, 3 cartons only the other one either not collected
by City Link or not sent by Ebuyer.

City Link reckon it's due for collection today/delivery tomorrow, Ebuyer
say it should have been delivered today but didn't say if it was
collected yesterday.

Kind Regards,

Jeff Davison

Ebuyer user Citylink.

I have always received excellent service from Citylink.

Fast, effective, prompt, courteous, friendly, helpful, useful and cheap.

See below for further discussion.

UNTRUE: It's NOT City Link - it's ****tyLink!!!

It saddens me that people lambust City Link - they are excellent by all
acounts. Suffering the misfortune of one or two problems should not result
in a courier being categorised as irrevecoably terrible always for all.

Few if any couriers are better or able to be better.

My comiserations to you and others who have been amongst an unfortunate
minority to suffer a problem or small number of problems (possibly in
series). However, I think it is fair to say that the vast majority have
received nothing but excellent service from them.

Most all couriers suffer occasional problems which unfortunately means that
very rarely two problems will be suffered (possibly in a row). If one
problem can occur it is almost statistically inevitable that others will and
consequently that any one recipient may be unfortunate enough to suffer two
or more problems (possibly in a row).

In my experience City Link are at least as good as / certainly no worse than
Parcelforce (a fair benchmark for the industry).

Beyond the mainstream couriers, only the premium couriers can offer a better
service; for example, on the wholesale side, UPS, or on a discrete basis, a
dedicated courier (e.g. a motorcycle courier).

Hope that is of some benefit / value / interest / use to you. I understand
that it is very hard to make up for a damaged, late or lost parcel, but at
the same time, it is important to recognise that short of a silver service
standard courier, a proportion of deliveries will suffer one problem or
another.

Best wishes to you and to all.
