Loading WWN from file Hitachi Storage Navigator
Is anybody familiar with the Hitachi Storage Navigator tool?
We are in the process of building a large number of SAN connected servers. Currently we collect the WWN numbers from servers using a script and then make a printout from which a SAN person enters the WWN numbers manually and assigns disks through the Hitachi Storage Navigator tool. This process is very prone to errors and delays the build schedule. My question is there some way to import the WWNs to the Hitachi SAN system from a file instead of typing all (hundreds) WWNs manually? Can this be done using the Storage Navigator or some other tool. Ideally we would like to avoid buying a separate software package for this. I hope my explanation makes sense and I would greatly appreciate any pointers. Ziba. |
