Default Brother drum fix

Thought I would post this in case someone has a similar problem in the
future. I've had a new Brother DR200 drum sitting on the shelf for years in
the wrapper. Finally needed to use it but after installation I was getting
horizontal lines on my copies. According to Brother, such problems might
clear if you make multiple print outs but if it doesn't you need a new drum
(a mere $200). The multiple copies did not help so I removed the toner
cartridge and moved the drum gearing as I watched the inside green roller.
Sure enuf I saw the horizontal line. Don't know what it was but I was able
to carefully wipe it off with my finger (you do not want to scratch the
drum). Copies were perfect thereafter.
