Default I have a problem whith my sound card and my speakers


Hi ppl i am having some trouble whith my sound.....
I have 4.1 speakers (creative inspire 4400) but only the front speaker
are plying sound..
i dont know the name of my sound card but its using windows xp drivers
(creative audiopci (1371, 1373) (wdm) ) but i belive it has 2 sound
output plugs a green for the front speakers and a black for the rear..
Can someone help me solve this plz??!

You may need to tell your system that you're using a 4.1 speaker setup.
I'm sorry I can't tell you specifically where to go, but look in any
Sound or Multimedia control panels, and run any soundcard configuration
utilities (AudioHQ maybe) to look for that feature. It may be that the
send audio line is disable unless you specifically setup for 4.1 output.

7.1 suround speakers........there isnt 4.1

Hi,

You need to choose 4.0 in the speaker properties panel.
Even though the speakers are marketed as a 4.1 system, they only have inputs
for four channels (IE. there is not a separate signal to drive the
subwoofer).
They only have inputs for Front Left + Right, and Rear Left + Right.
The subwoofer output is derived collectively from all four satellite
channels...
