Default Brightstor / Arcserve copy/mirror operation

Hi there,

I've been struggling for ages getting copy/mirror jobs done correctly.
We used to have ArcserverIT 6.6.1 Adv. on WinNT and Arcserve2000 on
WinNT. Both versions just did not delete any files from the mirrored
directories, leading to constantly growing mirror targets holding
thousands and thousands of files that were deleted from the source a
long time ago.

Now we've upgraded to Brightstor 9, and this one shows exactly the same
behaviour.

Arcserve/Brightstor _should_ do a client based (no agents involved)
copy/mirror from several Netware servers (4.11 or 5.1 does not matter)
to other Netware servers or even harddisks connected to the backup
server itself. Files that are not there on the source are just not
deleted on the target.

It's definitely not a matter of permissions, because a Filesync utility
running on the very same machine as Arcserve/Brightstor does the job.

Any hints highly appreciated!

Thanks,

Peter
