Default Backing up CIFS shares

Gawd, this is an awful request, but:

I have a client who wants to use Backup Exec to do backups of CIFS shares
(long story). I could have sworm this could be done, but apparently under
version 9.1, it can't be done.

Does anyone here know how to make it work? Alternatively, are there any
other software packages out there (preferably along the lines of Backup
Exec) that will allow backing up CIFS shares? Maybe ArcServe?

Thanks,
--paul

Upgrade to Netbackup, that does it.

Paul,

I believe you just need a license to do this.. I think it's called the
"Remote Server" license or something like that. Without it, you can
only backup local filesystems.
