Availability of replacement DLT7000 leader tapes

Can anyone please advise me on the availability of replacement leader tapes
for Quantum DLT7000 drives?

Jsut bought a unit off eBay and it has no leader tape, as well as a broken
warranty seal. Surely not a good sign.

Post on comp.sys.dec for an old TK50 and raid the leader from it.
Theor is you can buy them as spares, but that means experiencing
hp's phone support
